The former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique has said that he wants to see his former club beat Barcelona’s archrivals Real Madrid in the last 16 stage of the Champions league.

After coming through the ranks at Barcelona, Pique spent a few years at Old Trafford before rejoining Barcelona a few years ago. He has transformed himself into one of the best defenders in the world, who has also been hugely successful as well. His former club Manchester United will be taking on Real Madrid in the last 16 stage of the Champions League. The two opponents will be meeting each other for the first time in more than a decade.

NOT A DIRTY PLAYER

The Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has stated that he is not a dirty player after receiving his marching orders in recent match against Real Sociedad.

Barcelona lost their first match of the season in the league after suffering a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad. Gerard Pique was sent off in the match after receiving his second yellow card.

When asked about Barca’s performance in the La Liga so far, Pique said, “We have started the season really well. Our performance hasn’t been below par in any of the La Liga matches that we have played so far.”

“We have been given tough fight in a couple of games, but, that’s the way it goes. All the games can’t be one sided.”
