MASCHERANO BACK IN FOR BARCA
La Liga champions Barcelona are set to face surprise English Premier League champions Leicester City. Javier Mascherano has returned to join the squad as the round up their pre season friendly games ahead of the new season.

Barcelona will face Leicester in Stockholm on Wednesday after previous warm up games against Scottish champions Celtic FC. They defeated them 3-1 with Arda Turan and Munir scoring, then an own goal from Efe Ambrose.
After the game against the Leicester City, the Spanish champions will face Liverpool on Saturday. Fans will then have to entertain themselves for a few days playing games online, before they kick off their competitive season in the Spanish Super Cup against Sevilla on August 12.
Former Liverpool man Mascherano decided to extend his contract with Barcelona by an extra year till the summer of 2019. There were lots of reports that the Argentine would move to another club but the defender decided to put pen to paper, ending such speculations. He is set to play in the Luis Enrique set up as part of the International Champions Cup series and might also feature against his former club, Liverpool in Wembley. He is set to play in his seventh season at Camp Nou since his move from Anfield in 2010. He has made 282 appearances and is a key player in the team.
Automatenherz reported that some Barcelona players left out of the trip to Stockholm, Sweden are long term defender Gerard Piqué, talented midfielder Ivan Rakitic, Jordi Alba, Andrés Iniesta, Marc-André Ter Stegen, Thomas Vermaelen, Claudio Bravo and Douglas. They have all returned to training after their summer break.
Leicester City won their game against Celtic in Glasgow through a penalty shootout but lost 4-0 to French champions Paris St-Germain in Los Angeles. Barcelona are set to confound their woes ahead of the Premier League starting next week. Most of the stars of the Barcelona team including Lionel Messi, Luiz Suarez, Sergio Busquets, Arda Turan and co will be available for the encounter.
