PIQUE IN TEAM OF THE YEAR

Gerard Piqué has made it into the team of the year 2010 after an impressive season. Barcelona players keep getting individual accolades. David Villa was named Male Sportsman of the Year by USSA and now five of his teammates have been selected in L’Équipe (a reputed French newspaper) team of the year: four world champions with Spain, and Lionel Messi – the most talented player of the current generation of footballers.

Xavi and Iniesta form the best midfield duo in the world and are both legends of the game. As for Piqué and Busquets, the two youngsters have won pratically everything there is to win, both with Barcelona and with Spain, and their sublime quality is finally earning them the recognition they deserve.
